Trappings of a Muse

Hold this position now.
Don't fall to pieces if you lose control.
We haven't come all this way,
to speak of "conscience", and just let go.
Tell tales, inspire; if you want to taste it.
You will have to play nice.
What begins as denial, turns to contempt for the mirror.
When the mirror won't lie.
Welcome home. We sure are glad to see you,
up and comfortable again.
Just know that this feeling is fleeting.
Desire, will pick your young heart bare.
Freed my
hands of the binds,
to hold myself down,
when I landed face down.
The voice I heard
That I sang
Was never mine.
We have come to see to it.
That you spread your wings again.
And fill the air around you with fire.
And if your lonely heart keeps you lit.
Then we will keep you lit.
Dreams, are what comes
of what you make them.
A thought to come, a seed to sow.
A voice starting out like whisper, coming louder and louder and louder and louder now.
You cannot unhear it, by your habit
or even calculation
This voice is inside you, to silence it is to Silence all yourself.
We have come to see to it.
That you spread you wings again.
And fill the air around you with fire,
And if a lonely heart keeps you lit.
Then we will keep you lit.
We will keep you lit.

Manifest the Monster

I am certain.
I will guide you side by side.
As you wake up, and the moonlight floods your eyes.
I'll remind you that, your prison is a fiction in the castle
Of your mind.
Cast yourself aside.
This new high, tears apart your sides.
Is it fear a fortnight?
That makes you tremble in the night
Till you meet eyes,
With the creature that's inside.
Manifest the monster, let yourselves be free.
Taste the darkness as you breathe deeply of the night.
A clan hearts turned coal black, lusting for a feast.
The darkness tells a story of frenzy and delight.
As the water shows you your reflection, you feel at
Home in the stranger you see.
The insanity feels so peaceful, clawing out from underneath.
And the pale light will sustain the dream,
Until we remember,
Who we were before we saw it's gleam.
Running wild, leave everything behind,
What erupted into the night
Will make its home behind my eyes.
But only for a time.
We emerge, as we were.
Before the Night made us hers.

Frankenstein
03:55

Pilgrim, wanderer, roamer of the road.
Where have you been, since you went away?
And how do you keep track of all you've failed?
Well, here you stand. A ragged beauty, unfamiliar.
With no song to sing. You haven't gotten far without me.
Long to hide you, lest I find you,
Crushed beneath your strengths, you are the Frankenstein. (The Frankenstein).
Now I know your name, but can we bring you back to life?
Brush stroking my masterpieces, in imaginary lines.
Hide the thinker, free the maker, fall back to the right.
Feet for me to walk on, passed down flesh and bone.
Hands that I must borrow, do deeds that I must own.
Well here I stand, the loneliest of your creations.
There's no pain I feel, but bearing the truth in mind.
Long to hide you, lest I find you,
Monster
I am a monster.
Brush stroking my masterpieces, imaginary lines.
Hide the thinker, free the maker. Fall back to the right.
